Ken Clark grew up in the home building industry, his father Donald Clark, was a home builder and it was inevitable that he would wind up in the industry somehow. While his father had urged him to seek a career in the corporate world, after a few years he knew it wasn't for him. "I grew up in the building industry and absolutely love it, it's in my blood" says Ken.
With a passion for building homes, he joined his fathers business and eventually came across clients who were looking for log and timber homes. Ken and his father researched various log home "kits" available and discovered that they weren't exactly builder-friendly. Rather than tell clients they didn't build log homes, they began to research creating builder-friendly log and timber homes they could manufacture and build - Beaver Mountain Log Homes was born.
By the late 1980's, Beaver Mountain focused solely on the design and manufacturing of log homes. As the popularity of "wood" homes increased, the company added timber frame, cedar style & hybrid homes to their product line.
Don Clark retired in 1996 and Ken now serves as President & Owner of Beaver Mountain Log & Cedar Homes. Ken is a very hands on owner, always pushing his Beaver Mountain family to evolve as the world changes. Today, architectural planning/design and construction management services are a very big part of every home they create. "Builder friendly services" including more pre-engineering, pre-cutting, pre-fabricating and field support services are also very important in building extraordinary custom-built homes. The focus is on providing a stress free, enjoyable experience.
Ken still maintains the family values that his company was founded on and shares his knowledge with several of his own children & spouses who have also come on board. He is proud of the integrity of the entire Beaver Mountain family and is always looking forward to earning your trust as being the premier home producer in the Northeast.
When you see Ken outside the office, you will find him enjoying the company of his wife Karen, while gardening, boating & snowmobiling with their grown children and grandchildren. Ken and his family have a love of horses and have successfully shown Quarter Horses for many years.
