4 Year Plan Continued

We settled on Dutcher Construction out of Walton, NY and in July construction began. As the first course of logs was set, Jimmy Valentine (Sr. Technical Advisor for Beaver Mountain) was there to help the crew and make sure everything went well. Even though Max Dutcher's crew (headed up by Bob Brown on our job) has built over a hundred log homes, it was wonderful to have Jimmy here. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, helpful, funny and very complimentary of Max Dutcher's crew and their abilities. Jim spent that first day and part of another day on our job and again, your company was well represented. As time went by, we had the occasion to speak with Mike Santamaria and Todd Parsons at the mill several times (or maybe more) and all our questions and/or requests were handled promptly. When we wanted to make a few small changes Mike got us costs and time frames to supply material quickly, enabling the crew to keep moving forward without delay. As the build went on, we were continually impressed with the quality of your product. The logs went together so well, everything was tight, we knew our home was going to be cozy and warm even in the dead of an Upstate New York winter. Everyone that visited our site, including my father-in-law who is a retired contractor, marveled at the quality and attention to detail in everything you supply. Over the winter months, as we sat in our great room and watched the swirl and the wind blow, we couldn't even hear the wind. In fact, being weather buffs, sometimes we opened a window just so we could hear the wind howling - that's how tight out home is. Thanks and credit also to our sawyer, Ron Ballard, who graciously let me take his picture at our log home dry-stack!!
I could go on and on but I think you can get the sense we are more than satisfied and certain we made the right decision when we chose Beaver Mountain Log & Cedar Homes and Dutcher Construction. If we were to do it again, we would make the same choices and will encourage anyone we come in contact with to speak with the folks ar Beaver Mountain Log & Cedar Homes.
