Total Living Space 2,292 Sq. Ft. – Main Level 1,404 Sq. Ft. – Upper Level 888 Sq. Ft.
One of our most inspirational Model Homes, the Classic Lodge Log Home was constructed using a milled mortise and tenon design technique.
For this method, logs are cut to fit precisely together with no caulking or chinking required. This building also features a traditional log home milled profile- with a D shaped profile. In instances like this, Beaver Mountain’s commitment to quality is evident. Remember, our logs are graded three times. We grade them once before they’re milled, again during precutting, and lastly, we grade them for aesthetic beauty (a key feature not covered by today’s ASTM standards).
If you plan to build in a region that receives generous snowfall, the pitch of this roof is a good starting point for a angle that will reliably shed precipitation. When temperatures drop, family and friends can cozy up in front of a wood burning stove in the gorgeous living room. Looking skyward, the ceiling goes all the way up to the roofline, adding drama and highlighting the beauty and character of each hand-selected beam.
Located left of the hearth is a door that leads outside to a roomy deck with steps down into the yard. In addition to expanding the home’s overall footprint, this outdoor living space is the perfect spot for entertaining on a warm summer evening filled with friends and frivolity.
The Classic Lodge’s spacious layout creates a supremely comfortable living experience, couched in the distinctive warmth only a log home can provide. To enter, just cross through the covered porch that stretches across the entire front of the house.
The well-appointed kitchen is sunny and airy, thanks to plenty of large windows, and features solid surface countertops, tile flooring, and loads of cabinet space. Its unique ceiling design juxtaposes the character and texture of exposed wood beams with the clean, crisp, appearance of drywall, painted bright white for contrast.
In the dining room, stunning tongue and groove walls are interrupted by a large sliding glass door embellished with Colonial-style grids. The natural beauty of wood, reflected in the walls, ceiling, and floor, makes this a memorable place for an enjoyable sit-down dinner or buffet-style repast.
Downstairs, two bedrooms share a full bath and each have lots of built-in closet space. On the second floor, the stairs lead up to a delightful, open loft area, just steps from the luxurious Master Suite. Here, textures marry to create a destination-worthy sleeping area. Flooring is carpeted for comfort, walls are painted and smooth, and the ceiling is stained a transparent honey color that lets the natural wood grain shine through. We can also design this home with the Master Suite on the first level.
In the master bath, painted drywall and artfully tiled surfaces, all cream and white in color, make this space feel like an oasis, complete with a recessed skylight. At the far end of the bedroom, French doors swing out to a private master balcony.
